This is the best picture of this bird i ever taken. As i don't have big lens so i depending very much on my digiscoping.
Social, living in small flocks. Frequents scrub,grassland,cultivated areas and paddy fields.

An uncommon bird of lowland and hill forests up to 1500mm.
I use to struggle to take a good picture of this bird when i still have my old compact camera Sony W300, but when the new
Nikon Coolpix P300 came out, no problem to digiscope this bird since you can up the ISO to 400.

Red Avadavat - Amandava amandava - 10cm

First noted in 1969 in Kota Kinabalu, my first sight for this bird was 15 or 17 years ago near the KKIA.
Now small population still around in Kota Kinabalu as a few of my birding buddy and photographers friends ever took picture of this little red munia.
